Thatcher Company in Missoula, MT is seeking a Chemical Mix Operator to oversee production, blending, loading and unloading of plant chemicals at the Missoula facility.

Shift is Day, pay range $22-26/hour, responsibilities include operating pumps, mixers, forklifts, handling tanks and rail cars, ensuring safety and quality, and complying with PPE and environmental standards. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Desire and demonstrated ability to work safely and promote safety practices.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English well for safety and operations.
• Aptitude to follow written and verbal instructions in detail and learn additional skills with experience.
• Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying temperatures.
• Flexibility to work varying hours or shifts if necessary.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce and mix chemicals as needed.
• Understand and operate plant equipment and processes.
• Load and unload tanks, rail cars, tanker trailers, and other containers.
• Regularly lift 50 pounds.
• Operate pumps, mixers, and blenders.
• Operate forklift.
• Keep work area clean.
• Light maintenance.
