Job summary

The Lindgren Group is seeking a Chemical Maintenance - 1st Shift to support Nico Products in Minneapolis. This hands-on role maintains production tanks, handles chemicals, and operates a forklift on a 6:00am-2:00pm schedule with OT as needed.

Starting pay is $28.00/hour with a $1,500 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires and opportunities for overtime rewards and profit sharing. Previous chemical-handling experience is preferred; basic chemistry education is welcome.

Qualifications

• Hazardous waste handling experience or chemistry education provides a safe handling foundation.
• Understanding chemical compatibility and risks of mixing incompatible chemicals.
• Ability to follow procedures precisely without guessing or substitutions.
• Comfort around industrial chemicals while following safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Make chemical additions to production tanks based on lab results and procedures.
• Verify correct chemical, tank, and quantity before adding.
• Operate a forklift and move chemical drums and supplies.
• Follow chemical-handling, storage, labeling, and waste-handling procedures.
• Read and follow work instructions and Safety Data Sheets.
• Complete required records accurately.
• Keep chemical storage and work areas clean and organized.
• Communicate needs with lab and production teams.
• Ask for guidance when instructions are unclear.
