Job summary

The Lindgren Group, including Avtec Finishing and Nico Products, seeks a Chemical Maintenance employee for hands-on shop floor work in New Hope, MN. You will handle chemicals, operate a forklift, and follow safety rules to maintain production tanks on a 1st shift.

Basic chemistry knowledge or a related degree is welcomed; no advanced degree is required. OT may be available, with a $1,500 sign-on bonus and potential year-round earnings.

Qualifications

• Hazardous waste or industrial chemical handling experience.
• Chemistry education providing a strong foundation for safe handling.
• Ability to read and follow English safety instructions.
• Basic math to understand quantities and additions.
• Willingness to operate a forklift and complete training.
• Dependable attendance to work full shift.
• Willingness to perform physical shop work.

Responsibilities

• Make chemical additions to production tanks based on lab results and procedures.
• Verify the correct chemical, tank, and quantity before adding.
• Operate a forklift to move chemical drums and supplies.
• Follow chemical-handling, storage, labeling, and waste procedures.
• Read and follow work instructions and Safety Data Sheets.
• Complete required records accurately.
• Keep chemical storage and work areas clean and organized.
• Communicate with lab and production teams about maintenance needs.
• Ask for guidance when a chemical, instruction, or condition is unclear.
