Avtec Finishing in New Hope, MN is seeking a hands-on Chemical Maintenance employee for 1st shift. The role involves maintaining production tanks, handling hazardous chemicals, and operating a forklift in a manufacturing environment.

You will follow strict safety procedures, read lab results, and perform chemical additions accordingly. A chemistry background is welcomed, with training provided for required certifications and safety programs.

Formación

• Experience with hazardous waste or industrial chemical-handling.
• Ability to read and follow chemical labels, safety instructions and procedures.
• Willingness to operate a forklift and perform physical shop work.

Responsabilidades

• Make chemical additions to production tanks based on lab results and procedures.
• Verify correct chemical, tank and quantity before adding.
• Operate forklift to move chemical drums and supplies.
• Follow chemical-handling, storage, labeling and waste-handling procedures.
• Read and follow work instructions and Safety Data Sheets.
• Complete required records accurately.
• Keep storage and work areas clean and organized.
• Communicate with lab and production teams about maintenance needs.
• Ask for guidance when unclear.
