Job summary

Prayon is seeking a Chemical Equipment Operator to support safe and efficient manufacturing operations in Augusta, GA. The role involves operating automated packaging and material handling systems, managing inventory in SAP, and ensuring safety and quality compliance within a rotating 12-hour shift schedule.

You will collaborate across maintenance, quality, logistics, and production teams to sustain production flow and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must meet ACT WorkKeys minimum scores: Workplace Obser Level 2; Graphic Literacy Level 4; Workplace Documents Level 5; Applied Mathematics Level 4.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime, and call-ins.
• Ability to safely perform physical demands of an industrial environment.
• Commitment to safety, quality, accountability, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated packaging, conveying, and material handling systems.
• Package, label, palletize, and transfer finished products per procedures.
• Perform production confirmations and inventory transactions in SAP.
• Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Complete quality, production, safety, and regulatory documentation.
• Follow safety, environmental, food safety, and quality management system requirements.
• Support maintenance activities including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe work area.
• Participate in continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, logistics, and production teams to achieve objectives.
