Job summary

Ruveon, based in Muscatine, IA, seeks an Engineering Intern to apply engineering and safety principles in a chemical manufacturing environment. You will contribute to projects that improve processes, equipment, and overall plant performance.

You will work with engineers to analyze customer requirements, assist in design, startup, and procurement activities, and support Lean initiatives site-wide. This internship offers practical hands-on experience and exposure to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Successfully completed sophomore year or higher and will return to school after internship.
• Must be able to commute daily to Muscatine, IA; willingness to work in a chemical manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with Engineers to improve chemical processes, including yield, capacity, and cost improvements.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and improve reliability and cost.
• Assist with design, installation, and startup of process control systems.
• Assist with project objectives by analyzing customer needs and producing sketches or specifications.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and site safety standards.
