Job summary

Ruveon is seeking an Engineering Intern-4 in Idaho to join our Engineering and Maintenance teams. You will gain hands-on experience, collaborate with staff to improve processes, and participate in safety and environmental compliance, with a strong focus on lean initiatives.

The role supports project development, cost studies, and operational improvements while preparing to return to your engineering studies after the internship.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in engineering.
• Sophomore year or higher and returning to school after internship or co-op.
• Ability to drive to the work location.
• Willingness to work in a chemical plant environment.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and learn: partner with engineers to enhance chemical processes, improve yields, reduce waste, and cut cycle times.
• Project development: help shape project objectives and scope using stakeholder requirements and basic design packages.
• Standards compliance: ensure projects align with engineering standards, safety and environmental regulations, and plant protocols.
• Manufacturing insights: work with facilities and reliability engineers to understand maintenance, procurement, and reliability programs.
• Engineering calculations: perform and verify calculations using standard methods.
• Feasibility studies: conduct cost, feasibility, and planning studies with data-driven recommendations.
• Daily collaboration: team with production staff for process troubleshooting.
• Operational excellence: support Lean Manufacturing initiatives and site-wide improvements.
