Job summary

Clean Harbors Kimball, NE is hiring a Chemical Engineer- Incineration Supervisor to lead incineration operations and drive safety, compliance, and efficiency improvements. You will collaborate with shift supervisors, board operators, and technicians to optimize unit conditions while following SOPs and regulatory requirements.

New grads are encouraged to apply. A Bachelor's in Engineering is preferred, with a strong emphasis on leadership and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical) required or NEW GRADS encouraged.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Knowledge of pumps, fluid transfer, and control systems.
• Process simulation experience preferred (ASPEN, HYSYS, ChemCAD).
• Experience or desire to gain experience in operations environment.
• Ability to analyze data in Excel, Python, or other applications to make informed recommendations.
• Related experience in operations engineering, project management or process engineering.
• Strong leadership, teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, P&IDs, or reports.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Punctuality and attendance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Shift Supervisors, Board Operators, and Incineration Technicians to improve safety, facility compliance, and production efficiencies.
• Operate the unit with direction from the Incineration Manager outlining feed parameters and unit conditions.
• Confer with Engineers and personnel to implement operating procedures and resolve system malfunctions.
• Monitor SOPs for maintenance and production and work to continuously improve SOPs.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, including permitting, by resolving operational issues.
• Utilize process engineering concepts to determine recommendations for process or operational improvement.
• Collaborate with Facility Engineering to implement improvements through the MOC process.
• Comply with safety practices and maintain a safe work environment.

We Build with Passion- Clean Harbors Kimball, NE Incineration unit is hiring a Chemical Engineer- Incineration Supervisor , reports directly to the Incineration Manager, and collaborates with Shift Supervisors, Board Operators, and Incineration Technicians to improve safety, facility compliance, and production efficiencies associated with operation of the incineration unit. Safety focused, dedicated, and career minded individual wanted. Wage 80k per year DOE. Monday- Friday start time 6:30 am, 9- hour days.
