Job summary

Russell Tobin is partnering with a global pharmaceutical organization to identify a ChemicalCompound Manager for an opportunity near Cambridge, MA. The role is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days onsite, and is a 12‑month contract with potential to extend.

The candidate will register and manage chemical compounds in databases, maintain inventory and SOPs, and coordinate with CROs and external collaborators. Strong knowledge of registration platforms and lab systems is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science; MS preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in compound management or related scientific environment.
• Hands-on experience with compound registration platforms and LIMS/electronic lab systems.

Responsibilities

• Register and manage chemical compounds in electronic databases with accurate structures and metadata.
• Maintain compound inventory, storage, distribution, and shipments to internal teams and CROs.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, workflows, and training while ensuring data quality and sample integrity.
• Manage CRO/vendor operations and resolve issues related to logistics and shipments.
• Drive process improvements to increase efficiency, turnaround time and quality.
