Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• College degree preferred.
• At least 1 year in a customer service role; familiarity with chemical distribution or transportation industries preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; strong CRM and data-management skills required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate directly with customers, suppliers, and carriers via telephone and/or email.
• Effectively manages email traffic from up to 3 distribution lists.
• Participates in on-call rotation for 7 days at a time.
• Serves as logistics coordinator, working with outside vendors and carriers.
• Receive and/or appropriately direct incoming calls from current/potential customers, carriers, suppliers, etc.
• Process and maintain orders from receipt to delivery, including invoicing and documentation.
• Follow up on all customer interactions to meet timeframes.
• Coordinate with internal departments (Sales, Operations, Purchasing).
• Set up new customer accounts and maintain files and databases.
• Operates as administrative support to Sales Team and assist with inquiries.
