Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies is a full-service surface finishing company serving the aerospace, defense, space and satellite industries. It operates ten sites across the United States, offering NDT, chemical processing, painting and sub-assembly services.

Valence Surface Technologies is seeking a production process operator for the evening shift 2:00PM–10:30PM to ensure that the production process runs smoothly and efficiently, with attention to quality and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
• Willingness to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Experience in aerospace processing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process parts in chemical tanks according to specs and requirements.
• Calculates the appropriate processing time for parts.
• Remove parts from tank, rinse, and immerse in bath before finishing processing.
• Complete paperwork as required by company and processing guidelines.
• Oversee and assist line staff to optimize throughput.
• Evaluate and log preventative maintenance on the processing line.
• Ensure all hazardous waste is disposed of correctly.
• Other duties as assigned.

With ten strategically located sites across the United States, Valence provides a start to finish solution from NDT and chemical processing, to paint and sub-assembly.

Shift Schedule Monday - Friday 2:00PM - 10:30PM

Position Summary:

Responsible for ensuring that the production process is run in a smooth and rapid manner.

Responsibilities

• Process parts in chemical tanks according to specifications, work order and other requirements.
• Calculates the appropriate amount of time needed to process parts.
• Removes parts from tank after specified time, rinses parts and immerse them in bath before finishing processing.
• Completes paperwork as required by company and processing guidelines.
• Oversee and assist all line assistants to optimize throughput.
• Evaluate and log all preventative maintenance on processing line.
• Ensure all hazardous waste material is disposed of correctly.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience a plus, preferably in the aerospace processing industry.
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
