Job Summary

The Executive Sous Chef assists the Executive Chef in all aspects of the main, grill, and/or banquet kitchens (ordering, scheduling, sanitation, maintenance, employee development, performance reviews).

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for proper preparation, excellence of product, profit, and labor cost.
  2. Organize and assist in the service of all activities concerning à la carte, employee meals, and private dining rooms.
  3. Ensure consistent preparation and presentation based on standards, including portion size, of daily specials, salads, entrees, etc., as designated by the Executive Chef and produced within Invited quality standards guidelines.
  4. Train, supervise, direct, and performance manage employees as needed. Promote team spirit and knowledge sharing, providing the 3 Steps of Service.
  5. Prepare work schedules for the kitchen staff, monitor payroll costs, and review Kronos reports.
  6. Participate in menu development for à la carte and banquet menus, and handle special requests from members or the Executive Chef.
  7. Oversee expediting during meal periods, ensuring quality, portioning, and presentation standards are met.
  8. Interact professionally with Members/Guests, assisting with modifications and last-minute requests as needed.

About You

  1. 2-3 years experience as a line cook.
  2. Preferably with culinary training.
  3. Health Sanitation Card.
  4. Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
  5. Comfortable working in an indoor, fast-paced environment.
  6. High school diploma or equivalent.
