Job Responsibilities

The Cook II maintains standards established by the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of food including tasting, presentation, and sanitation.

Essential Duties Include:
  • Assist the Sous Chef and Cook in quality and portion control of product.
  • Work flexibly across all kitchen areas.
  • Promote positive customer relations; handle guest complaints.
  • Assist other line employees with daily responsibilities.
  • Prepare production according to established standards.
  • Label, rotate, store at proper temperatures, and maintain environment standards.
  • Reduce over-production and over-purchasing.
  • Maintain quality inventory control.
  • Ensure compliance with health codes in production and storage areas.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a high-volume kitchen.
Work Environment
  • Back of house in a fast-paced casino setting, possibly exposed to second-hand smoke and noise.
  • Frequent standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and visual acuity requirements.
Preference Policy

Preference is given to members of the Seminole Tribe of Florida and other federally recognized Native American Tribes.

Employment Process

Requires obtaining gaming licensure through background checks including credit, criminal, and drug screening.
