Job summary

Summit Place is seeking a full-time Chef Manager in Phoenix to lead the dining team and maintain high food and service standards for residents.

The role focuses on menu development, kitchen operations, and collaboration with nutrition and medical staff to meet dietary needs. Hours are 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. with alternating weekends and holiday coverage, and a $55,000/year salary plus a $3,000 retention bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college courses or culinary school preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in a lead chef role and 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
• Graduate of an accredited Culinary Arts program with Serve Safe Certification.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the highest quality food and service standards for residents.
• Assist the Dining Director in developing dining concepts and menus.
• Train and supervise culinary team members to maintain safety and quality.
• Oversee the daily operation of the dining area, including food safety and sanitation.
• Coordinate with nutrition and medical staff to meet residents’ dietary needs.
