Restaurant Associates is seeking a Chef Manager to lead culinary operations for the World Bank dining program in Washington, DC. Partner with the Senior Executive Chef to deliver exceptional dining experiences and to mentor a high-performing team in a guest-facing, hospitality-driven environment.

The ideal candidate has a strong restaurant or hospitality background, a passion for developing teams, and a focus on quality, cost control, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in high-volume food service operations.
• Strong hospitality mindset and guest-focused approach.
• Comfortable engaging with clients and senior stakeholders.
• Understanding of food cost controls and purchasing.
• Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute culinary vision with Senior Executive Chef.
• Lead and mentor culinary team through coaching.
• Maintain strong guest presence in dining areas.
• Assist with menu planning and seasonal initiatives.
• Oversee food production for quality and consistency.
• Support purchasing, inventory, and cost controls.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation compliance.
• Support catering for events and client functions.
• Collaborate with operations, marketing, and culinary teams.
• Monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities.
