Job summary

Restaurant Associates seeks a Chef Manager to lead culinary operations for the World Bank dining program in Washington, DC. You will partner with the Senior Executive Chef to deliver exceptional food experiences in a guest-facing, hospitality-driven environment.

The role requires a strong restaurant or hospitality background, visible leadership, and a passion for developing teams while maintaining high-quality dining experiences.

Qualifications

• Culinary leadership experience in high-volume dining environments.
• Experience leading teams and delivering guest-facing service.
• Strong understanding of food cost management and menu execution.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Senior Executive Chef to execute culinary vision and daily food service operations.
• Lead and develop culinary team members through coaching and mentorship.
• Maintain a strong presence in dining areas and build relationships with guests and clients.
• Support menu planning, recipe development, and seasonal culinary initiatives.
• Oversee food production and presentation for quality and consistency.
• Assist with purchasing, inventory management, and cost control initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and workplace safety standards.
• Support catering operations and client-facing events.
• Collaborate with operations, marketing, and culinary teams to introduce new dining programs.
• Monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
