Job summary

Brock & Company seeks a Chef Manager II to lead culinary operations at a private school. You will oversee menu development, purchasing, food production, and catering planning with a focus on quality and service.

Lead a small team, ensure food safety and cost controls, and contribute to a dynamic dining program that supports student success. This full-time role includes benefits, uniforms, meals, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or certification required or equivalent experience.
• Seven to nine years in a related position with comparable experience.

Responsibilities

• Directly prepare food and supervise at least two full-time employees in the preparation and service of food.
• Provide leadership, training and oversite for all unit activities to meet objectives.
• Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise allergen training and food safety standards.
• Weekly purchasing, monthly inventory management and accurate cash handling.
• Establish presentation techniques and quality standards, plan and price menus.
• Ensure proper equipment operation and sanitation in kitchen.
• Oversee catering events and provide culinary instruction as needed.
• Maintain budgeted food cost and labor cost; manage orders and reporting.
