Chartwells is seeking a seasoned culinary leader to direct and inspire the onsite catering team in Claremont. Lead with passion, innovate menus, and ensure high standards of service, safety, and food quality in a busy education setting.

This role offers a balanced work‑life arrangement with term‑time rostering and a competitive salary of $85,000 plus 12% super. You’ll oversee food production, client engagement, and cost control while developing staff and delivering memorable dining experiences

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a culinary team through busy service periods.
• Ability to interact with clients and students alike.
• Strong leadership, training and safety compliance ethos.

Responsibilities

• Direction, coaching and leadership of the onsite catering team
• Cost, plan, and deliver different cuisines and styles of food service
• Be the go to person for catering services focusing on menu design, food preparation and service
• Plan, supervise, and monitor food production across functions and in house catering
• Coordinate and ensure operational and financial success of the business
• Hands on leadership to deliver results
• Engage with clients and customers to ensure operational excellence
• Maintain high standards of food safety, allergen awareness, and OHS
• Maintain highest standards of food quality and presentation
• Oversee inventory, procurement, cost control and minimise wastage
