Job summary

Ebenezer is looking for a Cook/Chef to join Jones-Harrison Senior Living in Minneapolis, MN. You will prepare meals using standardized recipes to meet established culinary standards and plate food for residents with appealing eye appeal.

This full-time culinary services position includes a day shift with 48 hours every two weeks and every other weekend. ServSafe certification is required or must be acquired within 90 days of start date; must be 18 years of age or older; strong communication,

Qualifications

• ServSafe certification, or must be acquired within 90 days of start date.
• Basic math skills and comfortable using Microsoft applications.
• Must have good problem-solving and time leadership skills.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Vocational/technical training/education/degree
• High School Diploma/GED preferred
• Cooking experience in a similar environment
• Scratch cooking experience

Responsibilities

• Preparation of meals by following standardized recipes
• Handles and prepares food in a safe manner following policies and infection control and safety standards.
• Ensure timely production and meal service is provided to residents
• Set up line service
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work area after each use
• Assists with special events
• Assists the Culinary Director with supervision and training of culinary staff

Job Overview

Ebenezer is looking for a Cook/Chef to join our team at Jones-Harrison. This position is responsible for preparing and cooking meals as assigned using standardized recipes to meet established culinary standards of high-quality care. Culinary position will plate food for optimal eye appeal to entice food consumption by our residents in our Senior Living Community located in Minneapolis, MN.

This full-time culinary services position includes:
