Job summary

Nugget Market, Inc. is seeking a positive, service-minded chef to join our team in Marin/Sonoma locations. This role focuses on preparing fresh, high-quality ready-to-eat foods and delivering great guest service in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have industry experience, strong knife skills, and the ability to multitask while maintaining kitchen cleanliness and efficiency across self-service and full-service stations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Industry experience in a similar role.
• Availability to work any day of the week in Marin/Sonoma locations.
• Must have intermediate to excellent knife skills.
• Outgoing, approachable and enthusiastic.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality ready-to-eat foods including entrées, salads, side dishes and soups.
• Place orders for product and take guest orders via phone and in person.

Responsibilities

Our chefs prepare high-quality ready-to-eat foods including entrées, salads, side dishes and soups for our guests to enjoy. Our foods are made fresh with quality ingredients daily, and 85% are made from scratch! Other duties include placing orders for product; taking guest orders via phone and in person; executing recipes for self-service and full service kitchen; and providing world-class service to our diverse range of guests while maintaining a clean, sanitary and attractive work environment.

Qualifications

You should meet the following minimum requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Previous industry experience in a similar role
• Availability to work any day of the week, in any of our Marin/Sonoma locations
• Must have intermediate to excellent knife skills
