CHEESE SHOP/LEAD CLERK (Finance)

Minimum Requirements:

• Current food handler's permit once employed
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math

Desired Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Retail experience
• Second language skills: speaking, reading, and/or writing

Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store. Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and respond to questions, making suggestions about products. Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products. Inform customers of cheese specials.

Responsibilities include training and coaching associates, providing customers with fresh products, measuring and preparing ingredients, packaging and labeling, checking product quality, stocking, inventory management, adhering to food safety regulations, maintaining proper temperatures, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
