Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and providing product suggestions.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of department products and respond to customer inquiries.
• Offer product samples to enhance customer discovery.
• Inform customers about cheese specials.
• Train and coach department associates for effective job performance.
• Provide customers with fresh, correctly portioned products to prevent shrinkage.
• Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients according to recipes.
• Prepare, package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise.
• Check product quality, review expiration dates, and take appropriate actions.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.
• Maintain a positive attitude and store knowledge.
• Stay current with advertising and promotional activities.
• Monitor inventory and stocking conditions, noting discrepancies.
• Adhere to food safety and temperature regulation standards.
• Follow safety procedures, inspect equipment, and report unsafe conditions or accidents.
• Report safety risks, illegal activities, or theft.

Qualifications
