Gossner Foods is hiring a Cheese Packaging Operator to support packaging and labeling of cheese blocks weighing 200–300 lbs. You will seal, bag, and box products, then strap and stack them on pallets for transport with a stand-up forklift.

The role emphasizes accuracy in labeling, adherence to sanitation standards, and following quality check procedures. Training begins at $19.10 per hour with potential to reach $21.60 per hour as skills and experience grow.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Willingness to pass background and drug screening.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Proficient in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Package cheese blocks weighing 200–300 lbs in plastic bags and seal them securely.
• Pack sealed blocks into boxes, apply straps, and stack on pallets.
• Operate a stand-up forklift to move pallets to staging areas.
• Label cheese blocks and pallets accurately for tracking and testing.
• Maintain sanitation in the Vilutis Room and follow paperwork for quality checks.
