Job summary

Gossner Foods is seeking a Cheese Packaging Operator to join our team. This role focuses on packaging and preparing cheese products, including handling large blocks, labeling, and securely boxing them for shipment.

You'll stack, strap, and palletize finished products, while maintaining cleanliness in the Vilutis Room and following quality guidelines. The position requires lifting capabilities and a teamwork-driven approach in a fast-paced dairy environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Capable of repeatedly lifting 50 lbs and up to 100 lbs.
• Proficient in English, written and spoken.
• Willing to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Place cheese blocks into plastic bags securely.
• Seal cheese blocks and package them into boxes with straps.
• Stack packaged cheese on pallets in an organized manner.
• Operate a stand-up forklift to move pallets.
• Label cheese blocks and track through production line.
• Perform product checks and follow paperwork for quality control.
• Conduct cheese sampling and label products for testing.
• Maintain sanitation in the Vilutis Room according to duties.
