Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a general assembler to support production packaging of cheese products. You will manually apply cheese, package items, restock materials, and monitor line flow while ensuring quality and documentation compliance.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. The role emphasizes safety, sanitation, and adherence to quality procedures in a fast-paced environment, with starting wage of 27.43 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Manually apply cheese and ingredients to the appropriate production line.
• Perform manual packaging tasks such as bagging/wrapping/labeling/boxing/palletizing.
• Restock packaging materials into machines such as boxes/tape/glue/film.
• Monitor production flow, remove bad product as needed and potentially reapply it to the line.
• Ensure documentation performed is in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Ensure product quality through multiple inspections/tests and documentation of those activities.
• Set up, adjust, monitor and perform general operating maintenance on production equipment.
• Report noncompliance of production issues to the leadership teams.
• Validate ingredients and material used in the production process.
• Ensure paperwork and inventory systems transactions are accurately completed and performed in a timely manner.
• Handle and use cleaning chemicals and perform sanitation duties.
• Other duties as assigned
