Job summary

Township High School District 214 Community Education Foundation is seeking an Assistant Cheer Coach to support the Head Coach across all facets of the Competitive Cheer program. This role assists in long-term development, organization, and coordination of all levels of play within the athletic department.

The assistant will contribute to public relations efforts with athletes, parents, and community groups, attend clinics and camps, and help foster a positive, disciplined culture that promotes

Qualifications

• ISBE or ASEP certification.
• Coaching experience at any level, or coordinating experience at the Varsity level, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Head Coach in all aspects of the Competitive Cheer program.
• Supports the athletic department and head coach in development, organization, and coordination of all levels of play.
• Supports public relations activities within the athletic department, school, booster associations, and community.
• Attends clinics, staff meetings, summer camps, and off-season programs to support growth of the program.
• Maintains good public relations with athletes, parents, and officials.
• Encourages multisport participation and creates an atmosphere for athletic participation in other sports.
