Job summary

Agropur Cooperative is seeking a Cheddar Operator I for our Wisconsin operations. This seasonal position involves safely packaging cheddar cheese into 640-pound boxes and maintaining daily production flow.

The role offers on-site work, in-house training, and opportunities to advance. Strong attention to detail, basic math, and reliability are valued for a fast-paced environment with GMP compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• No experience required; in-house training provided
• Lift Truck License required (in-house training provided)
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective verbal and written communication

Responsibilities

• Set up area for daily production
• Make boxes, fill, and drain cheese according to specifications
• Prepare boxes and place into vacuum chamber
• Operate vacuum chambers and record information
• Pull boxes from vacuum chambers and hang on the rail for specified time, then move to seal line
• Prepare box cards for sealed boxes per recipe and place cheese into pre-cooler
• Assist Cheddar team as needed
• Clean up 640 room after daily production and prepare supplies for next day
• Keep area clean and organized at all times
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices
