Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. operates Safeway stores in Fortuna, CA, and is seeking an enthusiastic Front-End Team Member to ensure a smooth, friendly checkout experience. You’ll help customers complete purchases accurately while keeping lines moving and the store clean.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older (or 18 years of age or older, depending on local/state requirements).
• Completion of company cashier or front-end training upon hire
• Basic math and communication skills required
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Prior customer service experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Handle transactions accurately, including cash, card, and digital payments.
• Bag groceries and assist customers at the checkout.
• Restock supplies and maintain the checkout area.
• Rotate between tasks and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Follow store policies, register procedures, and safety guidelines.
