Job summary

Safeway in Colorado is seeking a Front-End Team Member to provide a smooth checkout experience for customers. You’ll handle transactions, assist customers, and keep the front end organized and welcoming.

The role offers a flexible schedule with opportunities to contribute to a fast-paced store environment and support a positive shopping experience for guests in Alamosa and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ (or 18+ per local/state rules) to work.
• Completion of company cashier/front-end training upon hire.
• Basic math and effective communication skills required.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Prior customer service experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate checkout transactions quickly and accurately.
• Bag groceries and assist customers at the front end.
• Restock supplies and keep checkout area clean and organized.
• Assist with cart retrieval and general front-end upkeep.
• Adapt to changing tasks and customer flow throughout the shift.
