Qualifications

• Follow detailed written or verbal instructions and complete tasks with some variables.
• Perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Understand directions and communicate supply needs clearly.
• Work well in a team to deliver a great customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and greet customers with a smile.
• Operate the register and process cash, checks, cards, coupons, and food benefit transactions.
• Count back change and issue receipts or returns as needed.
• Follow local and store rules on WIC, food stamps, tobacco, liquor, and lottery sales.
• Bag merchandise, support drive-up and carry-out service, stock shelves.
• Keep shelves clean, adjust lookups and price changes, and assist customers.
• Maintain register area and report cash levels; verify balances at shift start/end.
• Answer questions via intercom or phone and escalate as needed.
• Stay aware of surroundings to support store safety and security.
• Assist with displays for promotions and events; take on special projects.
