Job summary

Carpenter Co. in Temple, Texas, is seeking a safety-conscious Checker Loader to support production lines and ensure the smooth flow of raw materials and finished goods.

You will operate material handling equipment in a dynamic environment, maintain strict safety standards, and collaborate across teams to optimize processes. Initial training on 1st shift will onboard you as the full team joins.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to read and comprehend facility labeling processes.
• Navigate busy warehouse environments with precision.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely in confined areas alongside pedestrian traffic and other moving machinery.
• Drive a forklift traveling in reverse to transport products to their final destinations safely and efficiently.
• Load transport trucks and trailers in the proper chronological order.
• Adhere strictly to the Carpenter Company safe stacking policy.
• Recognize and respect all prohibited and restricted area requirements.
• Ability to physically handle, lift and maneuver rolls of carpet cushion.
• Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe work environment at all times.
• Perform other workplace duties and tasks as assigned by management.

Carpenter Co. is seeking a focused and safety-conscious Checker Loader to support our production lines. In this role, you will act as a vital link between departments, managing the flow of raw materials and finished goods to keep our operations running smoothly. You will operate material handling equipment in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, requiring sharp spatial awareness and excellent teamwork.

Initial 4-6 week training on 1st shift while the full team is onboarded.
