Job summary

Carpenter Co. is hiring a Checker/Loader Forklift Operator at our Temple, TX plant. You will unload/load trucks, perform final quality checks on finished products, and ensure shipments meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Shipping/Receiving or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic computer, reading, writing, and math skills.

• Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
• Able to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely.
• Follow all safety rules and stacking procedures.
• Use loading tickets and manifests to verify shipments.

Pay or shift range: $21.71 USD to $22.39 USD. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

Carpenter Company has an immediate opening for a Checker/Loader Forklift Operator at their Temple, TX manufacturing plant. This position is responsible for safely and efficiently unloading/loading trucks; performing final quality checks on finished products and loading on trailer per customer requirements.

The successful candidate will be expected to communicate with management, excel in customer service skills, and work well independently.This position will ensure the proper loading of material on trucks to maximize usage of space; thus, requiring the safe operation of a forklift.
