Key Responsibilities

Under direct supervision of the Front End Supervisor, the Checker is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service, processing sales quickly, accurately, and efficiently, performing cash register operations, and safeguarding company assets. Must be able to bend, stand, and stoop for prolonged periods of time.

Essential functions include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, and visual and auditory requirements.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; frequently up to 45 pounds; occasionally up to 60 pounds.
