Job summary

Fiesta Mart is seeking a Checker at Store 040 Dallas Fort Worth-Ross Ave to deliver excellent customer service, process sales quickly, and safeguard assets in a busy grocery environment.

The role requires bilingual Spanish/English communication with customers and co-workers, plus physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds and basic PC skills such as Outlook.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with the general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, memos.
• Write simple correspondence and effectively present information to customers and staff.
• Must regularly lift/move up to 25–60 pounds as part of duties.
• Basic PC skills including Outlook are preferred.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision of the Front End Supervisor, the Checker is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service as per company standards, processing sales quickly, accurately and efficiently, performing cash register operations and safeguarding company assets. Must be able to bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods of times. The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
