Fiesta Mart in Dallas, TX is recruiting for a Checker (ages 16-17) to join the Store Operations Team. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, handling sales at the register, and supporting daily store operations.

Candidates should be able to read/write in English and Spanish, interact with customers, and lift up to 60 pounds as needed. Training is provided within a fast-paced grocery setting.

• Basic PC/Outlook skills are preferred.

Candidates should possess the ability to:

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision of the Front End Supervisor, the Checker is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service as per company standards, processing sales quickly, accurately and efficiently, performing cash register operations and safeguarding company assets. Must be able to bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods.

The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
