Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our part-time school-based team in Jacksonville, FL. This role focuses on helping students develop functional, sensory, and motor skills for classroom success and beyond.

Join a collaborative educational team and work with teachers, families, and specialists to support students with diverse needs while contributing to IEP goals and maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have OT degree and licensure in Florida.
• NBCOT certification preferred (optional).
• Experience with children/adolescents is preferred but not required.
• School-based experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and educational goals.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services in individual and group settings.
• Support fine motor development, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, self-care, and functional life skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress monitoring.
• Maintain accurate documentation, treatment records, and progress reports.
• Recommend adaptive equipment, classroom modifications, and therapeutic strategies to support student success.
