Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our part-time school-based team in Baton Rouge, LA. You will help students develop functional, sensory, and motor skills for classroom success and beyond, collaborating with teachers, families, and specialists.

You will conduct evaluations, develop plans, and deliver direct OT services in individual and group settings, emphasizing fine motor, sensory processing, and life skills while maintaining clinical

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Louisiana Occupational Therapist license.
• NBCOT certification preferred.
• Experience working with children and adolescents preferred.
• School-based experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and educational goals.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services in individual and group settings.
• Support fine motor development, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, self-care, and functional life skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress monitoring; Maintain accurate documentation, treatment records, and progress reports.
• Recommend adaptive equipment, classroom modifications, and therapeutic strategies to support student success.
