Job summary

Kalitta Charters LLC seeks a Charter 135 Flight Follower to coordinate aircraft, crews, customers, maintenance, and logistics for passenger, cargo, and air-ambulance missions. This on-site role requires clear communication, composure, and teamwork.

You will enter trip details in flight-following systems, coordinate transport and lodging, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. Based at Willow Run Airport, this four-10 hour shift role supports a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Aviation, dispatch, logistics, customer service, or operations experience is preferred but not required.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license required when driving is an essential function of the position.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate aircraft, crew, and location information to support safe, efficient flight operations.
• Communicate professionally with customers, flight crews, maintenance teams, vendors, and internal partners by phone and email.
• Prepare trip quotes based on aircraft and crew availability and established pricing guidelines.
• Monitor active trips and coordinate routing changes to support on-time performance.
• Source air and ground transportation resources within time-sensitive operational constraints.
• Enter, update, and track trip details accurately in Avianis or other flight-following systems.
• Arrange transportation and accommodations for passenger, cargo, and air-ambulance missions.
• Coordinate customs, international permits, ground handling, and maintenance constraints, including timely requests for landing and overflight permits.
• Maintain accurate dispatch reports, aircraft records, and restricted-access files in accordance with company procedures and applicable requirements.
• Manage multiple priorities while delivering responsive, service-focused support.
• Be accountable for Safety and ensure compliance with the with the Safety Management System
