Job summary

McAngus Goudelock & Courie in Charleston, SC, seeks attorneys to join our Workers' Compensation team. The role offers hybrid work options after training, with salary and monthly bonus opportunities based on performance.

Ideal candidates have 4–5 years of practice, hands-on experience in all phases of civil litigation, and direct client contact. Licensure in SC or pending bar results are required.

Qualifications

• The candidate must be licensed to practice law in South Carolina or have pending SC bar results.
• Preferred: 4–5 years of civil litigation practice experience, handling matters from inception to trial.
• Experience working in a team with mentoring and hybrid/remote work options.

Responsibilities

• Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations.
• Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as needed.
• Prepare discovery responses and manage document production.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing thorough reports.
• Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial as necessary.
• Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants.

We are seeking attorneys to join our Workers' Compensation team in Charleston. Remote/hybrid options will be considered after training/integration with the team.

Ideal candidates will have 4-5 years of practice experience. Our associates are given hands on experience in all phases of civil litigation from case inception to trial, as well as direct client contact. We offer competitive compensation with monthly bonus opportunities. Must be licensed to practice law in South Carolina or have pending South Carolina bar exam results.
