Job summary

PJ Whelihan’s Pub + Restaurant in Malvern, PA is hiring servers to join our busy, sports-focused neighborhood pub. You will greet guests, take orders, suggest menu items, and ensure a memorable dining experience while delivering timely service and accurate payments.

We value a friendly, polished appearance, teamwork, and the ability to handle high-volume situations with poise. Weekend availability is ideal to support peak periods and special events.

Qualifications

• Must have basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures.
• Must be TIPS or RAMP certified before first non-training shift.
• Possess basic math skills, handle money, and operate a point-of-sale system.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests. Make guests feel comfortable and taken care of.
• Inform guests of specials and menu changes.
• Make recommendations guests will enjoy.
• Answer questions about food, beverages and restaurant services.
• ID guests 35 & younger.
• Take orders and enter them in POS.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly.
• Perform side work at shift start/end.
• Maintain clean service areas.
• Ensure guests are satisfied; respond to requests promptly.
