Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Chargemaster Manager to oversee the development and maintenance of charge description masters across central Ohio operations. You will ensure payer compliance, implement changes from federal/state guidelines, and educate department leaders.

You will collaborate with the Central Business Office, HIM, IS, Managed Care, and Finance. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree with professional coder certifications (CPC/CPC-H/CCS/CCS-P/RHIA) or RN, plus 3–5 years in Patient

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree; certifications include CPC, CPC-H, CCS, CCS-P, RHIA, or RN with appropriate license.
• Knowledge of clinical and financial applications for documentation, billing, coding and patient accounting.
• 3–5 years of experience in Patient Accounts, Health Information Management or Charge Description Master Management.
• Proficiency in Excel, Access, Reporting and Epic.

Responsibilities

• Chargemaster Development: Develop and maintain charge description masters for central Ohio operations and ensure compliance with payer requirements.
• Implementation and Education: Apply regulatory changes and educate operations leaders and staff.
• Consultation: Advise campus leaders on new technology and alternative reimbursement methods for new services.
• Charge Audits: Audit medical documentation for accuracy and compliance with Medicare/Medicaid.
• Special projects: Assist with non-routine projects.
• Report compliance concerns promptly and participate in corrective actions.
