Centurion Health is seeking a Full-Time Day Charge RN (SUD) for the Maryland Correctional Institution in Hagerstown, MD. The role provides supervision of nursing and support staff on the assigned shift and delivers direct and indirect nursing care to patients in a correctional setting, under the Director of Nursing and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Must hold Maryland RN license; BSN preferred but not required.
• Over two years of experience in community or correctional substance abuse clinics.
• CPR/BLS certification is required.

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive services to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. We are currently seeking a Full-time Day Charge RN (Registered Nurse) to join our substance use disorder (SUD) team at Maryland Correctional Institution in Hagerstown, Maryland.

The Charge RN (SUD program) is responsible for providing supervision of nursing and support staff on assigned shift in correctional setting. Additional responsibilities include providing direct and indirect nursing care to patients. The Charge RN works under the direction of the Director of Nursing and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to identify and respond to a wide range of physical and mental health needs.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland; BSN preferred but not required
• Over two years of experience working in a community or correctional based substance abuse clinic
• Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
• Pior experience providing nursing care and working with a high degree of autonomy required
• Prior experience in supervising nursing staff preferred
• Experience working in a correctional environment preferred
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
