Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Full-Time Day Charge RN (SUD) at Maryland Correctional Institution in Hagerstown, MD. The role involves supervising nursing staff and delivering direct and indirect nursing care within a correctional setting.

The ideal candidate will hold an MD RN license, have 2+ years in community/correctional SUD, and be CPR/BLS certified. A BSN is preferred but not required; eligibility for security clearance is required.

Qualifications

Overview

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive services to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. We are currently seeking a Full-time Day Charge RN (Registered Nurse) to join our substance use disorder (SUD) team at Maryland Correctional Institution in Hagerstown, Maryland.

The Charge RN (SUD program) is responsible for providing supervision of nursing and support staff on assigned shift in correctional setting. Additional responsibilities include providing direct and indirect nursing care to patients. The Charge RN works under the direction of the Director of Nursing and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to identify and respond to a wide range of physical and mental health needs.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland; BSN preferred but not required
• Over two years of experience working in a community or correctional based substance abuse clinic
• Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
• Prior experience providing nursing care and working with a high degree of autonomy required
• Prior experience in supervising nursing staff preferred
• Experience working in a correctional environment preferredAbility to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
