Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Tyler, TX seeks a day shift, full-time Post Surgical Medical Surgical Charge RN to coordinate and deliver unit-based care. The role emphasizes collaboration, supervision of staff, and alignment with physician orders and care protocols.

Qualified candidates hold a Texas RN license, an RN degree, and certifications in BLS; ACLS is required within six months. Inpatient, acute care experience and prior Charge Nurse exposure are preferred for this critical operating

Qualifications

• Degree as a Registered Nurse from an accredited school.
• Current Texas RN License.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and administers care to a unit specific patient population using a multidisciplinary approach.
• Provides clinical supervision to staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Works with medical staff to achieve hospital and department goals.
• Manages departmental activities per hospital policies and physician orders.
• Oversees the plan of care tailored to each patient’s needs.
