Job summary

UT Health Tyler is seeking a day shift, full-time Renal Urology Medical Surgical Charge RN in Tyler, TX. You will coordinate and supervise unit-based patient care, working with a multidisciplinary team to meet care standards and hospital goals.

The ideal candidate holds a TX RN license, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and inpatient charge nurse experience; CAPD competencies are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• RN degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Texas RN license.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer.
• ACLS within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and administers care for a unit-specific patient population with a multidisciplinary team.
• Provides clinical supervision to staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Collaborates with medical staff to achieve hospital and departmental goals.
• Manages departmental activities per policy and ensures care aligns with orders and protocols.
• Oversees implementation of a care plan tailored to each patient.
