Job summary

Qualifications

• Eligible for or currently licensed as a registered nurse in Maryland.
• BSN required.
• CPR certification or other appropriate certifications.
• Clinical competency with minimum 2 years in clinical area.
• Achieve certification in area of practice after two years.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and provides direct patient care following nursing standards and the nursing process.
• Makes frequent patient rounds to ensure quality and appropriate care; identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare patient care assignments considering staff competence and patient needs.
• Ensure a safe patient care environment and maintain department safety checks.
• Participate in orientation and mentoring of new hires; collaborate with CNS for scheduling and staffing.
