Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN is seeking a Charge RN for Labor and Delivery. This Full-time Day shift (7am-7pm) provides entry-level leadership, coordinates care on designated shifts, and supports staff while delivering direct patient care as needed.

The Labor and Delivery unit comprises eight suites, two triage bays, two operating rooms and two recovery bays with wireless monitoring. A minimum of 1 year RN experience is required; certifications must be obtained within stated timeframes.

Qualifications

• RN with leadership aptitude for shift coordination.
• Ability to coordinate care and respond to department concerns.
• Experience guiding staff and patient flow on a busy unit.
• Certifications to be completed within defined timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Act as a resource nurse and lead staff on designated shifts.
• Coordinate care and staffing fluctuations to ensure patient safety.
• Provide direct patient care as needed and oversee unit operations.
• Communicate effectively with team and address staff concerns.
