Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN is seeking a Charge RN for Labor and Delivery. This Full-time Day shift (7am-7pm) provides entry-level leadership, coordinates care on designated shifts, and supports staff while delivering direct patient care as needed.

The Labor and Delivery unit comprises eight suites, two triage bays, two operating rooms and two recovery bays with wireless monitoring. A minimum of 1 year RN experience is required; certifications must be obtained within stated timeframes.

This is an entry-level leadership position responsible for the coordination of care on designated shifts. He/she will provide leadership to the staff members of the unit in the area of patient care. This position will work alongside the team and provide direct patient care while determining needed staffing fluctuations during shifts, responding to departmental concerns, address immediate staff issues and coordinate patient flow. This position has immediate oversight of employees while performing the same or directly related work as those the position leads.**About the Department:**Labor and Delivery is made up of eight labor and delivery suites, two triage bays, two operating rooms and two recovery bays with wireless monitoring capabilities. Natural birthing options such as nitrous oxide, laboring tubs, and birthing balls available. On average, there are around 1,000 births annually.
