Job summary

Armor Health in St. John's County Jail seeks a Charge Registered Nurse to manage daily patient care in a busy correctional clinic. You will coordinate physician orders, document care in the POMR system, and supervise staff to ensure continuous, safe patient services.

Role requires an RN license, CPR, and at least 2 years of experience. You will contribute to infection control efforts, work across care units, and support ongoing quality improvement programs within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license
• Minimum 2 years experience
• Current CPR certificate
• Proficient with EMR
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen

Responsibilities

• Prepare, monitor, and coordinate daily patient care activities; ensure physician orders are implemented and encounters documented in POMR format
• Schedule staff and patients to ensure full coverage and high-quality patient services
• Lead, guide, and train employees performing related processes and expectations
• Oversee direct nursing care and provide consultation to patients
• Coordinate services with other patient care units; maintain communication with allied services
• Oversee quality assurance and infection control activities and compliance to standards
