Job summary

Shorewood Behavioral Health is seeking an experienced Charge RN to lead nursing teams in a busy inpatient setting. You will coordinate patient care, supervise staff, and ensure adherence to clinical standards and safety protocols.

Available shifts include Days 7a-7:30p and Nights 7p-7:30a with competitive compensation, a performance-based bonus, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive culture focused on compassionate, patient-first care.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• One year of nursing experience; psychiatric/mental health a plus.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required.
• First aid may be required per state/facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients' physical and behavioral health needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans for patients.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and families.
• Ensure nursing actions align with Nurse Practice Act and facility policies.
• Document changes in patient status and communicate with physicians as needed.
• Administer medications accurately and document controlled substance counts.
• Guide and coordinate unit activities and maintain therapeutic rapport with patients.
